Hospitality of a Texel family business

Holiday park So What and our families Veenstra and Van Santen: you can mention them in the same breath. Generation after generation, we cherish this fantastic place. The trees that change color with each season, the sound of the rustling sea with favorable winds. We love it. The peace and nature that enchant you: we share that feeling with all our love. Welcome to our holiday park and our family.

Coming home on Texel

What is the magic of an unforgettable vacation? It starts with a luxury holiday home or lovely bungalow. That place must be warm and homely. So you can sit in your own bubble for a moment and don't have to think about anything. We respect your privacy, but are always nearby. Because personal attention makes the difference, in our opinion. It's not about grand gestures, but about small refinements. A nice cushion on the couch, a gift for the dog, or a blanket for a fresh evening. That's why So What feels like coming home on Texel.

  • Attention to detail
  • Space for freedom
  • Always nearby

So What?

Our park's name has its own story. It wasn't spontaneously thought up one afternoon, but is a tribute to a piece of Texel history. During World War II, Texel was liberated by the Canadians. They brought hope and new energy to the island. Their expression, 'Live, don't worry because everything will be alright', intrigued grandfather Veenstra. No worries, So What, still fits perfectly with our Texel attitude.

Meet the family

This father is a jack-of-all-trades. As an outdoor enthusiast, he maintains the gardens. In fact, he's trusted with all kinds of handy jobs. Busy at reception? Claus is happy to lend a hand. Connecting with guests is his 'thing': he's always up for a chat.

Edu Veenstra

This father can turn his hand to just about anything. Mowing lawns, pruning bushes: together with Claus, they tackle the green maintenance with enthusiasm. For household tasks, he just as easily picks up a brush and tools to make everything look neat and tidy.
